The power of belief in Manifestation and the law of Attraction
by Aayawa
In 1951 a patient with a congenital and incurable skin disease was cured
by hypnotic suggestion. Once the doctor was told the disease was incurable
he was unable to cure other patients with that disease. However another
doctor who had read of the cure was able to cure two further cases. The
cures raised a mild flurry of interest but were soon forgotten, as is the
case with many anomalies in Science.
The first doctor did not know the disease could b cured by hypnotism, and
believed it was only a form of wart, which he knew could be cured
hypnotically. When he learned the disease was considered incurable his
unconscious mind blocked the efforts to cure further patients. It would
seem the unconscious accepted the consensus belief that the disease was
incurable rather than the evidence of the senses. The second doctor
however knew the disease was curable and so his unconscious accepted the
possibility and helped cure his patients.
There is no need for a magical explanation for the original doctor's
failure to cure more patients. His diminished confidence could have shown
in his body language, but the original cure, which effectively involved
creating oil forming glands in the skin, is a true anomaly.
The point to note there is that conscious belief achieves nothing. If you
are trying to manifest something and the unconscious believes it cannot be
done it will not be done. If the conscious mind thinks something
impossible and the unconscious disagrees it will be hard to avoid it
happening. If the conscious mind and the unconscious agree it will happen.
Ninety percent of the time there is no need to invoke a paranormal
explanation for the success of Manifestation. With a positive attitude
opportunities are spotted and seized, With a negative attitude they are
spotted and dismissed. Or not spotted at all.
There are people go through life expecting the worst and getting it. There
are people go through life expecting the best and getting it. There are
people who try to expect the best and find Manifestation does not work for
them. The unconscious is the block.
To get past the blocks in the unconscious and successfully manifest
something may need a lot of preparatory work. Scientific training is a
handicap, and patience is a prerequisite I recall asking for something and
having it manifest nearly 6 years later.
The short guide to Manifestation is
Know what you want
Know you have it, or, if you prefer, that it is on the way.
Let go and relax
“Know what you want” involves thinking and feeling. “I want X, why does my
stomach turn when I think of X” shows part of you does not want X. In a
conflict your feelings will win.
Know that you have it involves generating the feeling of having it and the
confidence it is on its way. For this visualisation and meditation can
help.
Letting go can be the hardest part. Once you have “ordered” your desire
from the unconscious do something else and in case of doubt remind
yourself it is on the way and preparations need to be made before it can
be delivered.
